Sorry, slightly garbled.  I meant to say:

In the meantime, I am wondering if there is any way for me either to
tell PHP 7.2 to be more backward-compatible with PHP 5, or else to be
able to run both PHP 7 and PHP 5 on my server (and thus successfully run
MailZu, under PHP 5, until I can choose and implement a replacement).
