Hello Mark and thank you for your suggestion. I installed amavisd-milter
1.5.0, but I can't get it open a socket to amavisd even though the
socket file exists and has enough permissions.

Exact error message is "could not connect to amavisd socket
unix:/var/amavis/tmp/amavisd.sock: No such file or directory".
Amavisd-milter was started with command

su - amavis -s /bin/sh -c "amavisd-milter -w /var/amavis/tmp
   -m 2 -M 540 -p /var/amavis/var/amavisd-milter.pid
   -s inet:10029 at localhost
   -S unix:/var/amavis/tmp/amavisd.sock -d9 -f"

Permissions are:
  drwxr-x--- 6 root amavis 4096 Sep 23 16:08 /var/amavis/
  drwxr-x--- 2 amavis amavis 4096 Nov 15 14:59 /var/amavis/tmp/
  srwxr-x--- 1 amavis amavis 0 Nov 15 13:16 amavisd.sock

I can connect socket manually as amavis user, but amavisd-milter can't
do it for some reason. Any ideas? I posted a question to
amavisd-milter-users posting list, but there seems to be no activity.

With best regards,
