Amavisd-release sends messages back to quarantine?

I must have something messed up on my version of amavisd-release. When I
release a message from quarantine, amavisd-new processes the message as if
it were new, and performs the original quarantining action....
Running 2.6.6, I don¹t think it did this with 2.6.5, advice welcome.
Command line:
$ sudo amavisd-release T5qc0bPp1b9F
250 2.7.0 from MTA([127.0.0.1]:10025): 250 2.7.0 Ok, discarded, id=21409-05
- SPAM
Log cut showing message released and then quarantined again...
