compressed files and 3rd-party tools to unpack them - why not let them do the job?

not all clamav can unpack rar, some debian maintainers say clamavs unrar 
lib is not free :/

so why is the source code provided ? :=)

and last, amavis is designed to use more then just one virus scanners, 
thats why amavis have support for unpackers
