Dear Anant,
You could running clamav + spamassasin + amavisd in same environment ,
but you need to concern server load and amount of account and server I/O usage also.
If you would like to have spam detector ,you need spamassasin service on.
If you need virus detector , you need clamav service on.
And amavisd service is controller for both services.
Please do not hesitate to contact us , If you have any questions .
Best Regards.

Subject: postfix and amavis reg.
Dear List,
Right now, I have only one postfix instance connecting with Amavis for virus scanning (ClamAV). Situation now demands me to run one more instance of Postfix on the same server.
Should I start one more instances of Amavis alone?
Should I start one more instances of Amavis and Clamd?
Should I start one more instances of Amavis, Clamd and SpamAssassin?
Or, I can use the same instance of Amavis/Clamd/SpamAssasin.
Anant
