Hello all,

My maill queue keeps growing and it won't stop. When I check mailq all
my messages say

 (host 127.0.0.1[127.0.0.1] said: 451 4.5.0 Error in processing,
id=09103-03, quar+notif FAILED: temporarily unable to quarantine: 451
4.5.0 Local delivery(1) to /var/virusemails failed: Can't create file
/var/virusemails: Permission denied at (eval 85) line 191., id=09103-03
at /usr/sbin/amavisd line 12586. (in reply to end of DATA command))

This was working just fine yesterday and the 6 months prior to this
morning.

I do have have a /var/virusmails directory and I also have

chown -R amavis:amavis /var/virusmails as well as chmod -R 0750
/var/virusmails

#Here is line 12584-12589 of /usr/sbin/amavisd

    } elsif ($n_smtp_resp =~ /^4/) {

      snmp_count('QuarAttemptTempFails');

      die "temporarily unable to quarantine: $n_smtp_resp";

    } else { # abort if quarantining not successful

      snmp_count('QuarAttemptFails');

      die "Can't quarantine: $n_smtp_resp";

Sorry if this is a really simple problem, I'm just not very experienced
with Linux.

Thank you,
Justin Stear
