amavisd-new does not run as 'root' (or whatever user you used)<br>

try this:<br>

su - vscan -c 'spamassassin --lint'<br>
<br>
(vsan being the default user amavisd-runs as)<br>
<br>
and, no, its not an amavisd-new issue. Might be a permissions/path
issue.<br>
